Together We Rise: Bolder, Braver, Better – An International Women’s Day Breakfast.
Join CUPE Ontario’s Candace Rennick and Fred Hahn along with leaders, activists, and members from all over the province at a breakfast in honour of International Women’s Day.
We will be joined by Doly Begum, NDP Candidate for Scarborough Southwest, speaking on the importance of women in politics as candidates and volunteers, and her history working in coalitions and as a grassroots activist. Doly is a dedicated leader with a track record of success in community projects locally, provincially and internationally. Her passion for public service inspires her to effectively engage with community needs and organize around common goals. Doly worked with labour organizers, community action groups and environmental activists lading the “Keep Hydro Public” campaign which stopped the sale of Toronto Hydro and Wasaga Distribution Inc.
